Graduate Certificate in Terrorism and Homeland Security

The Certificate in Terrorism and Homeland Security at the Schar School provides an interdisciplinary introduction to the phenomenon of modern terrorism and its implications for U.S. domestic and foreign policy. It focuses on multidisciplinary analysis and cross-sectorial approaches to long-term prevention of and responses to terrorism. The certificate consists of 15 credits, including 2 required courses (6 credits) and 3 electives (9 credits). Students can apply up to 12 credits from a certificate program toward the MS in Biodefense upon acceptance into the program. This certificate is also available to be taken entirely online.
