The course was a follow-up to a Basic Course held in Brazil in 2013 and organised for participants from Lusophone States Parties (Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and Sao Tome e Principe, and Angola). This course built on participants’ skills and knowledge of different types of protective equipment, explored the types and characteristics of chemical warfare agents, and learned to operate detection and decontamination equipment.
