Biosafety and Biosecurity Capacity Building in Africa

This project aims to bolster biosafety and biosecurity capabilities in Africa through support for the Africa Centres for Disease Control Secretariat as well as Regional Collaborating Centers, National Public Health Institutes and National Reference Laboratories across Africa. Project activities include:

  • Support for regional workshops and meetings to promote the establishment of a surveillance system for high consequence pathogens; and
  • The development of guideline and training materials for surveillance of high consequence pathogens.
