Biosecurity Engagement Program (BEP) – Asia-Pacific Biosafety Association Conference

This project coordinated the participation of laboratory specialists and scientists from Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam in the Asia-Pacific Biosafety Association Conference in Bali, Indonesia. The conference focused on biosafety during a pandemic, laboratory safety equipment, disinfection and decontamination, and the process of launching a biorisk management program. The conference provided the participants with tools for developing biosecurity curricula and trainings at their home institutions, and allowed them to establish new relationships with colleagues from around the world.
