Biosecurity Engagement Program (BEP) – Bolivia

Bolivian scientists travelled to Emory University in the United States to participate in a five-day course on safety and security for biosafety level three labs (BSL-3). The scientists interacted with international colleagues and attended sessions on risk assessment, personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency laboratory procedures, the Biological and Toxins Weapons Convention (BTWC) and issues regarding dual-use research.
