Building Stronger Public Health Institutions and Systems

This project contributes to the strengthening of institutional and technical capacities of national public health institutes in the respective countries. Through these collaborations the project aims to build and strengthen, among other areas, key public health capacities such as improved data for better surveillance, better health governance, strengthening the public health workforce, advancing public health research and better lab capacity. Specific priorities are set through close dialogue and based on country needs.

Specific objectives of the project:

  1. Public Health Institution in target countries strengthened
  2. Increased competence and capacity built at public health institutions in priority health areas
  3. Global regional networks collaborate with and provide support to LMICs
