CBRN Incident Response Support to G5 Sahel Region and Côte d’Ivoire

Project

CBRN Incident Response Support to G5 Sahel Region and Côte d’Ivoire

This project aims at enhancing national capacity and regional cooperation in their response to a CBRN event. Regional activities are planned in order to train first responders and help them identify CBRN material, limit the immediate consequences of such an attack and preserve evidence for the benefits of a future investigation.  A second axis for improvement consists in helping INTERPOL assess Member States’ CBRN non-state actor threat and existing regional coordination practices when responding to a CBRN terrorist incident. As part of this project, INTERPOL will develop a national CBRN assessment capability, which will then feed into its intelligence-driven programming.
