Collaboration with Public Health Agency of Canada’s National Microbiology Lab to Strengthen Global Biosecurity & Biosafety in Sierra Leone

This project supports the set-up, certification, and operation of a biobank and laboratory in Sierra Leone. In addition to establishing a microbiology laboratory, this project will establish standard operating procedures for overall lab functions and sample handling. This assistance activity is providing on-site training and ongoing capacity building to lab personnel to enhance capacity to perform sample handling, inactivating procedures, diagnostic testing, and scientific inquiry.
