Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program: Countering WMD Threats in Iraq Program – Enhancing the Interface Between Iraqi CBRN Field and Laboratory Teams

This project provided training for Iraqis from the Ministry of Interior’s CBRN Teams and the Ministry of Health’s Central Public Health Laboratory on biological weapons detection with a focus on the field laboratory interface. The training focused on how the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Health can coordinate to detect and respond to biological weapons events, how to use field detection equipment, and how to securely and safely transport field samples to the laboratory to ensure timely analysis.
