Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program: Countering WMD Threats in Iraq Program – Iraq CBRN Security Leadership Forum

This project conducted a Counter-CBRN Leadership Forum of 20 key Iraqi policy makers from the Kurdistan Regional Government and Central Government. The objective of this forum was to identify needs, vulnerabilities and concerns related to preventing CBRN material acquisition and development by non-state actors in Iraq. Upon the conclusion of the forum, the Iraqi stakeholders developed recommendations to improve interagency coordination in response to a CBRN incident and to improve CBRN preparedness and security at large.
