Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) Program: Open-Source Data and Related Training to Identify Illicit Chemical and Biological Weapons (CBW) Facilitation Networks

In order to identify illicit chemical and biological weapons facilitation networks, this project works to:

  • Identify illicit typologies on procurement, financial, and logistics networks that facilitate potential chemical and biological weapons (CBW) programs;
  • Provide ready-to-deploy, quick-turn, user-friendly open-source data to counter state-led CBW proliferation activities;
  • Build or utilize existing commercial or collaborative networks to ensure the widest possible dissemination of analysis, data sets, and information; and
  • Develop cost-effective trainings to enhance partners’ capacity to utilize open-source information to promote due diligence and enhance sanction compliance.
