CPACC FY 22/23: AFRICSIS—Towards Universalization of the Convention for the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material (CPPNM) and its Amendment (CPPNM/A)

The project purpose is to run a capacity-building workshop for members of parliament and senior government officials from 25 States not yet party to CPPNM and CPPNM/A and produce a CPPNM/A universalization toolkit and adherence pack so that delegates have an increased understanding of the international legal framework for nuclear security and have access to adherence guidance documents to proactively and independently support their countries’ process to adhere (ratify or accede) to the CPPNM, CPPNM/A and ICSANT.
