Enhancement of Nuclear Safety and Security in Romania – Improvement of Disaster Resilience and Preparedness for Radiological and Nuclear Events

The objective of the Project is to improve the capabilities in Romania to prevent the risk of accident or malicious acts in the radiological and nuclear field. The Project is contributing to nuclear safety and security infrastructure in Romania through exchange of experiences, best practices, and capacity building with the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority and the International Atomic Energy Agency, and will focus on the following main technical areas:

  • Nuclear and radiological safety,
  • Nuclear security, computer security, nuclear security culture,
  • Emergency preparedness and response,
  • Safeguards.
