Global Forum on Scientific Advances Important to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC)

The Global Forum addresses rapidly emerging advancements in biology and biotechnology and their impact on bioweapons nonproliferation policy. The Forum facilitates engagement between States Parties and scientists with the aim of (1) informing delegations of current/emerging capabilities and risks associated with advanced biology and biotechnology and (2) raising awareness of and support for the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and bioweapons nonproliferation norms among the scientific community.
