Global Material Security (GMS) Program – International Nuclear Security: Nuclear Security Engagement and Training

This project works with partner countries to implement nuclear security training and conduct best practice and technical exchanges. These activities facilitate engagement between technical professionals on topics including: 1) nuclear security principles; 2) physical protection; 3) response force practices; 4) nuclear material accounting and control; 5) fixed site security; 6) transportation security; 7) cyber security impacts on nuclear security; 8) nuclear security culture; and 9) mitigating the insider threat. Working with training centers and nuclear security support centers, the United States National Nuclear Security Administration fosters sustainable indigenous training programs through support for curriculum development and instructor training to help expand nuclear security training capacity internationally.
