Global Threat Reduction Initiative (GTRI): Vietnam

This initiative included: 1) the removal of Russian-orign highly-enriched uranium (HEU) from Vietnam; 2) conversion of research reactors from highly-enriched uranium (HEU) to low-enriched uranium (LEU); 3) the removal of excess and unwanted sealed radioactive sources and vulnerable nuclear material; and 4) protection of nuclear and radiological buildings.
