Global Threat Reduction Programme (GTRP) – Closed Nuclear Cities Partnership (CNCP)

This project aimed to counter the risk of unemployed former Soviet weapons scientists’ knowledge and expertise becoming an asset for would-be nuclear states or terrorist groups by creating meaningful jobs for nuclear weapons personnel from six of the ‘Closed Cities’ – Novouralsk, Ozersk, Sarov, Seversk, Snezhinsk and Zheleznogorsk.
