Global Threat Reduction Programme (GTRP) – Collaboration with the IAEA via the Nuclear Security Fund

The Global Threat Reduction Programme (GTRP) has been working with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on nuclear security projects funded via United Kingdom contributions to the Nuclear Security Fund. Between April 2013 and March 2015, the United Kingdom has contributed funds to support high priority projects, specifically physical protection upgrades at sites in Tajikistan, Moldova, Georgia, and Kazakhstan. These projects enhanced physical protection around sites holding substantial quantities of highly-active radioactive material or spent nuclear fuel.
