Global Threat Reduction Programme (GTRP) – UK Nuclear Security Culture Programme: Nuclear Security Best Practice Workshop

This workshop was delivered to a global audience with the aim to raise awareness of the critical importance of a strong security culture in the protection of nuclear materials. It drew on International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and United Kingdom best practice, and encouraged delegates to discuss and share their experiences, and reflect on their local challenges from a different perspective. The workshop explained the challenges faced by nuclear facilities in terms of potential risks and security threats and described the practical arrangements and cultural issues that need to be addressed in order to ensure good security.
