Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) I
The Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) is the means by which the European Union supports reforms in the ‘enlargement countries’ with financial and technical help. The IPA funds build up the capacities of the countries throughout the accession process to establish a proper control systems to enhance security in their regions. This includes equipment and infrastructure support and helping train professional law enforcement.
