International Nuclear Security Advisory Service (INSServ)

The International Nuclear Security Advisory Service (INSServ) helps States to establish and maintain effective nuclear security regimes that include elements that address nuclear and other radioactive material out of regulatory control. INSServ missions are conducted by international teams of experts who evaluate the State’s nuclear security regime, using the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Nuclear Security Series as a basis. The teams suggest improvements and acknowledges good practices in a report. The INSServ report, once agreed by the requesting State, serves as a basis for nuclear security cooperation between the IAEA and the State and contributes to the development and implementation of an Integrated Nuclear Security Support Plan.
