National Implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) I

This project contributed to the improvement of the effective functioning of National Authorities and the adoption of adequate implementation measures through:

  1. Assistance visits on legal and technical aspects to respond to specific needs of requesting State Parties who had not yet fulfilled their Article VII obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC);
  2. National Authorities participation in a technical meeting on the transfers provisions of the CWC, which allowed for a wider dissemination of information about the provisions and European Union export control regulations; and
  3. Customs officials participation in a meeting related to export control regulations related to the CWC.
