Nuclear Weapons Storage Security Program

The United States Department of Defense enhanced the security, safety, and control of Russian nuclear weapons during storage by providing the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation equipment, material, services, and training. Projects included:

  • Quick-fix fencing;
  • Security Assessment and Training Center;
  • Site security enhancements;
  • Personnel reliability and safety;
  • Guard force equipment and training;
  • Nuclear weapons storage site support; and
  • The automated Inventory Control and Management System (AICMS).
