Improving Nuclear and Radiological Security Phase II: Engendering Cooperation, Establishing Pragmatic Action

This project was a continuation of “Improving Radiological Source Security Phase I: Defining Baselines, Building Strategies, and Establishing Proactive Networks”. Phase II of this project involves updating and extending the comprehensive database on laws regulations of UN Member States that address radiological source security. These updates will be based upon the updated International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Guidance. This project will also involve conducting further analysis of the data to better understand the gaps in securing radioactive sources, facilitate a discussion on measures to effectively address those gaps and to organize outreach to relevant international organizations.
