This project supported the organization and implementation of a conference entitled “Operationalizing the Signature Initiative to Mitigate Deliberate Biological Threats in Africa and Strengthening the Africa CDC’s Regional Health-Security Capabilities” to advance the objectives of the Global Partnership’s Signature Initiative to Mitigate Biological Threats in Africa. This event was held in Cape Town, South Africa on 3-5 November 2022, also aimed to further facilitate the delivery of financially sustainable programmes in biosecurity, early warning systems and surveillance in the region.
