OPCW Fact-Finding Missions (FFM) to Investigate Chemical Weapons Use in Syria

This contribution supports the organisation’s FFM investigations and the Declaration Assessment Team’s activities in determining chemical weapons use in Syria. Additionally, the funding supported the initial planning phase for analytical upgrades to its Laboratory. Some of the activities supported: FFM and DAT deployments, verification activities, sample analysis and security measures, systems improvements (e.g. to the establishment of a new situation centre), training of personnel, and for the development of specifications for laboratory upgrade options.
