Organization of American States (OAS) Legislative Assistance to Latin American and Caribbean States

The project supported legislative and regulatory assistance of OAS Member States through the development of biological, chemical, and nuclear legislation. These efforts strengthened export control and border security measures and enhanced Member States’ capacity and compliance with the obligations of UN Security Council resolution 1540 to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
