Promotion of Universality of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) III

This project aimed to increase adherence to the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) by actively promoting ratification/accession to the CWC by non-State Parties and to support the full and effective implementation of the CWC by State Parties. Project activities included:

  • Regional workshop on the CWC for non-State Parties in the Mediterranean and the Middle East to increase awareness of the CWC and its contribution to regional stability and peace; and
  • Intensified bilateral approaches and programmes for non-State Parties in Africa, the Middle East, Latin American and the Caribbean, and Asia.
