Prototype Cooperating National Facility for Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Verification

This project aims to address the gap in coverage by the International Monitoring System (IMS) of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) by establishing an atmospheric radionuclide monitoring station in Kazakhstan as the first ever Cooperating National Facility (CNF) that would serve as an additional source of data to detect nuclear test explosions.
