Raising the Awareness of, and Promoting the Implementation of Legal Frameworks Related to Nuclear Security – Phase II

This project supports strengthening the global fight against nuclear and radiological terrorism through raising awareness and promoting ratification and implementation of international legal frameworks related to nuclear security. The project activities include:

  1. Universalizing the International Convention for the Suppression of Acts of Nuclear Terrorism (ICSANT) and the Convention on the Physical Protection of Nuclear Material (CPPNM) and its Amendment (CPPNM/A);
  2. Supporting the adequate incorporation of their criminalization requirements into national legislation; and
  3. Providing capacity building of criminal justice officials and other relevant stakeholders on their implementation.
