Recovery of Radiation Detection Capabilities at the Port of Beirut

This project will provide support to Lebanon’s Customs Agency to recover the capacity to detect and interdict the illicit trafficking of nuclear or radioactive material passing through the Port of Beirut, following the August 2020 explosion. Activities will include the design, construction, and integration of 21 radiation portal monitors, three local alarm stations, and rebuilding the central alarm station.
