Regional Security Engagement Program

This program’s goal was to build partner capacity with regard to combating weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and combating terrorism. This program consisted of a seminar on combating WMD and terrorism as well as a regional workshop about combating WMD. The two-week seminar addressed concerns associated with the nexus between proliferation of WMD and terrorism. The one-week workshop focused on building partner capacity to address concerns associated with the proliferation of WMD. The seminar and workshop promoted the creation of a collaborative network of mutual support and long-term regional inter-ministerial integration.
