The seminar aimed at strengthening the nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear security regime in Mongolia, which was in the process of introducing nuclear energy. Topics included: the importance of 3S (safety, security and safeguards); current status of Mongolian regimes for peaceful use of nuclear energy, nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear security; and current status and prospects of Mongolian regime to implement International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) safeguards system.
