Strengthening Compliance with International Health Regulations (IHR) Relevant to Biological Threat Reduction

This project was designed to help partner nations understand requirements for an adequate governance framework to support disease surveillance under International Health Regulations (IHR), and to develop a legal and regulatory framework in order to strengthen detection and response capabilities. Through a series of workshops, partner countries were able to engage across sectors to develop joint action plans to assist in building capacity to detect, assess and report disease.
