Project

Strengthening Partner Nations’ Capacity on Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction Terrorism (CWMDT) Exercise Programs

With funding from the United States, UNOCT and WMDT will jointly develop and implement a series of regional workshops that provide countries with the skills and tools necessary to develop, implement, and evaluate their own Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction Terrorism (CWMDT) exercises, apply exercise design best practices, and sustain use of CWMDT exercises and exercise programs after the workshops end. These workshops will leverage hands-on TTX design experience as well as take home materials to support project objectives. In addition, workshops will leverage expertise from other disciplines, such as counterterrorism, disaster response, and counter illicit trafficking, among others, to support project objectives. Workshops will focus on enhancing national preparedness against WMD terrorism threats, while also underscoring how countries can use proven TTX methodologies to address a range of security threats and challenges.
