Strengthening the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and the Chemical Weapons Convention

This project supports the full and effective implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). The OPCW will deliver various capacity-building activities in Africa, as well as developing a databank to assess the origin of chemicals used in chemical weapons attacks in Syria. Security upgrades will also be made at the OPCW headquarters in The Hague in compliance with international best practices.
