Project

Strengthening the Verification Regime of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)-designated Spiez Laboratory is continuously engaged in the analysis of environmental samples from various OPCW missions, including in Syria. Since entry into force 1997, Spiez Laboratory has made major contributions to the OPCW Central Analytical Database, and continues to do so. Spiez Laboratory provides tiny quantities of highly purified reference chemicals to the OPCW Lab, essential for routine analysis.
