Support of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons Work on Assistance and Protection Against Chemical Weapons Under Article X

This project promotes the adoption of chemical industry security best practices and empowers local chemical industry associations to adopt voluntary industry security standards. It focuses its efforts in a number of countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The programme equips chemical industry associations with much needed security training materials and resources to sustainably mitigate threats and strengthen their capacity by developing security management practices, including those that secure weaponisable chemical materials from potential terrorist exploitation.
