Trust Fund for Global and Regional Disarmament Activities

Japan contributed approximately 1,000,000 USD to the United Nations Office for Disarmament (UNODA) for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1540 (2004) in March 2017. This assistance has been utilized for the following expenses:

  1. Holding a workshop for the Government of Mauritania, Timor-Leste, and the Solomon Islands to draft the first national implementation report that all States are called upon to present to the 1540 Committee; and
  2. Launching the Online Training Course on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1540.
