Trust Fund for Syria Missions

The fund supports full elimination of the Syrian Chemical Weapons Programme and clarification of facts related to the alleged use of chemical weapons, in accordance with the relevant decisions of the policy-making organs of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Activities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Missions of Declaration Assessment Team (DAT);
  • Deployment of Fact Finding Missions (FFM);
  • Technical Secretariat activities in relation to Syria Missions associated with implementation of C-SS-4/Dec.3 dated 27June 2018, particularly the work of the Investigation and Identification Team (IIT); and
  • Other activities pursuant to decisions of the policy-making organs of the OPCW (e.g. periodic inspections of the Syrian Scientific Studies and Research Centre).
