United States-Russia Warhead Safety and Security Exchange (WSSX) Agreement

This project provided for the exchange of unclassified technical information to enhance nuclear warhead safety and security in both Russia and the United States. Information exchanges and technology development focused on: 1) warhead and component safety and security through external means; 2) safety and security during warhead dismantlement; 3) technologies to augment storage and dismantlement transparency; and 4) development of technologies that can be applied to combating nuclear-related terrorism.
