Preparedness of States Parties to Prevent and Respond to Attacks Involving Chemicals II

This project contributed to the development of national capacities of States Parties to prevent, prepare for, and respond to a terrorist attack with chemicals and to improve their response to requests for assistance in the event of the use of chemicals.

Project activities included: regional workshops to foster discussion and analysis of several assistance and protection-related issues; table top exercises; developing an analysis on possible roles and functions of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) with interested parties in chemical security; and an event to discuss and disseminate best practices in chemical safety and security.
