Canada provided funding to strengthen biosafety and biosecurity, to strengthen laboratory capacity, to support regional emergency preparedness and response strategies, to strengthen monitoring and surveillance of animal diseases and zoonosis, and to support the World Animal Health Information Database (WHAID) and World Animal Health Information Systems (WHAIS).
